If you are concerned about taking a DSLR camera with you because you want to go into the casino, take it along. There is a place to check bags and cameras inside the Casino. There is much to explore in the area and some great photo opportunities.

If your going to the Loire Valley to tour the chateaus, don’t try to do them all in one day. 4 is way too many and even then your just touching the surface. At the most, 2, and if your going to Chambord, spend the day. There is so much to explore and see so take your time.

London and Mobile Phones

If you ar travelling to London and taking your mobile phone, get an Pay As You Go SIM card. On England’s O2 network you can pick up a £15 credit which usually gives you free citywide wifi access and text messaging. Also, you call O2 and add on a £5 suppliment you can get cheap international calls (very cheap). You can get the SIM card sent to you before you go, by ordering online at O2 website or one of many of the O2 stores.
There are other Pay As You Go providers but this is the only one that I used an worked out excellently.
If you happen to have an unlocked iPhone, this is the way to go. O2 data plan is included.
