Day 2 – Munich

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

After waking up at 6.30am we could smell the bread baking and the coffee brewing from the kitchens below. We we hungry and got up for an early breakfast of muesli, yoghurt, brotchen, wurst, cheeses and croissants.

We followed this with a long walk around the Munich science and technology museum of which we saw about a quarter of the museum in 2 hours.

Lunch was at a Brathouse, bratwurst, boiled and grilled sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut, pretzels, and cheeses washed down with a weiss bier.

Day 1 (cont.) – Munich

So much for the nap. How about a beer instead. Well after a strongbow and a couple of beers, then dinner, featuring white asparagus, we now lay our weary bodies in bed. What a pleasant evening. Thanks Arto !

Day 1 – Munich

Friday, April 29th, 2011

Day 1: Easy flight and got upgraded (yay!). Landed in Munich at 9.00am and checked into hotel Coffee and pastry at local cafe on the square. Bought some flip flops. Parents landed and checked in at 1.00pm. Took them out to lunch and then for a stroll through the town and the Royal Palace Residential Apartments. Its 5.00 pm and we are shattered. Time for a nap before we go out for the evening.
